For me, a living space can never be too devoid of clutter. My critical eye still wanders in my own home trying to pinpoint exactly what it is that bothers me in the space as a whole. Most likely I was a nun in a former life.

On the other hand, a home becomes a home only through personal touches. Creating the personality of your home to me then is finding the balance between keeping it all light and airy and resisting the urge to display too much.

This apartment interior by Finnish designer Susanna Vento has just that balance. On the surface a very minimal and bare design, look closer and you find little touches that say “See, I live here.”
