Tempting, so very tempting.
Loads of editorials around showing this season’s cowboy (or should I say cowgirl?) trend but all rather predictable: horses, meadows, rugged blankets and long sweeping views. So I do like this black and white take on it and at the very unlikely space of the South China Morning Post no less.
Ages ago I owned a white wool coat, I believe from Topshop. It was a very structured minimal design, with a zipper, and I looked ever so smart in it. I really loved that coat. The downside was of course that it was white and even the slightest of stains or marks stood out on it like a sore thumb. And unless you have a huge dry cleaner budget that alone makes a coat like that very impractical.
You know how you can be on the look-out for a basic boot and then spot one that ticks all the boxes? High heel but sturdy enough so you can still navigate the cobbled streets of Utrecht, pointy toe but not too pointy, real leather but at an excellent price…that kind of thing?
I have no idea why I am looking at spring fashion for 2019 while I should be looking at knitwear, kid’s boots and warm rugs for the lounge but there you go.
I have not had a pair of black jeans in ages so for the past few days I have been looking online for a nice affordable pair. Plenty of black skinny ones on the high street and the high-waisted variety is also well represented but I favour a regular waist and a looser fit for now. Hopefully these will turn out fine.
