On Wednesday I took my mother-in-law to see the highly anticipated Jan Taminiau Reflections exhibit at the Centraal Museum in my hometown of Utrecht. The website advised to buy tickets online and they were in fact sold in time-slots. I can see why: it was very crowded and it was quite a feat on my side to get my shots without any visitors in them.
We both enjoyed the exhibit very much, it was exceptionally well done, not just the pieces themselves but the lay-out and set-up provided an excellent storytelling background to Taminiau’s work.
If you have a chance, do go see it, well worth the money and as always the museum itself was a pleasure as well: the sofa in the lunchroom was so comfortable we spend an hour just sitting and chatting!
