I get up very early, go for a run, have my egg-and-spinach breakfast, an espresso on the side, and I do a little run-down in my head, go over my to-do list for that day.
I have it all sorted out.
And then right after thinking ‘Time to get started on that list.’ this happens: I quickly scroll through my blog-roll, randomly click on a name, and from there I click further and further, I get lost in an endless field of wonderful images and photography and facts I really must take notes of and I stumble along, watching and scribbling and storing, all the time hearing that indignant voice in my head going ‘But you were off to take a shower! And to go grocery shopping! And you were finally going to write that piece about meditation, you silly cow!’.
The voice has a valid point. This is how I digress. Every. Single. Day.
I do get round to my list mind you. But never in a very straightforward line. I like to take the roundabout. And then multiple times. How annoying.
But then again, without my stumbling, as I call it, I would not find little gems to show you. Like these photos by Lena C. Emery for Modern Matter magazine. So as far as I am concerned, my stumbling was worth it this morning.
Enjoy.
