I remember when our own house was built how I really liked the look and feel of all that concrete. Rough and honest. Of course, it all got covered up with brick and paint and it looks just fine.

But yesterday I stumbled upon this beautiful Japanese house renovation simply screaming ‘Look at me!’ and I know: for my next house or apartment I will definitely not settle for convention but simply let harsh realty shine through.
