Very cute indeed: Talud9, a small coffee & winebar situated in Utrecht on a very well-known little square called ‘t Wed. The house dates from around 1500 and has a quiet cosy feel to it. No laptop wielding hipsters in sight but instead lively conversations and the occasional newspaper.
Upstairs, via a very scary spiraling staircase, is a smaller space for those who’d like to host a private drinks party or wine tasting. During summer months it is also possible to rent their barge, a truly wonderful way to discover Utrecht.
They do an excellent soy milk latte with a smile, provide you with generous glasses of water, a little sweet on the side and the salads my friend and I had were so good (and not to mention healthy) I completely forgot to take photos.
So I guess I’ll have to go back then.
Poor me.

It looks like a charming, cozy place. No excuses needed to go back! 🙂

Hi Sevi,
Nice tip. Been past there a million times, never even noticed it.
Thx.

I hear their wines are good too. I don’t drink myself but it is definitely a nice place for evenings as well.
